Flail Mower, Model 853, Mowing Sulky, Rear-Tine Tiller, Rotary Plow, Snow Blower - Two-Stage, Utility Trailer
My BCS is an essential piece of equipment on our property. I love the 2 stage snow blower.. it eats the snow like a monster and throws it well out of the way. I have run it all day on multiple occasions clearing snow for customers and it always turns heads. The utility trailer it super handy for hauling tools around the property. It gets used often to move and dump dirt or compost. I also use it to clean out the chicken coop twice a year. It doesn't tear up the grass and leave ruts when its wet the way I would by towing my full sized trailer around with my truck. I make money every spring tilling for customers and the rotary plow makes nice raised beds in tidy little rows. More than once I have heard "that's quite the tiller!" By far my favorite and most used attachment is the flail mower. I attach the sulky and have a seat while I mow the property. I do a little at a time because I don't need to worry about how long the grass gets. This beast will chew up and pulverize whatever it can run over. It has made me the most money out of all the attachments. With this and a good clearing saw and chainsaw I have cleared every area of over-growth I have had calls to do. This attachment people love to watch in action as well. I love my BCS. It has saved me thousands by doing the job of mulitple pieces of equipment. No regrets here!

The BCS walk behind tractor is used all season long but most significantly it has changed the way we plant dahlias and the way we clean up our fields at the end of the season. Using the rotary plow in the spring we are able to plant 2,000 dahlias in 4 hours with a very small team. Then in the fall we use the flail mower which pulverizes flower debris allow planting material to compost down more quickly. Its definitely changed the game on our 3 acre farm in the city.

I absolutely love my 749 BCS tractor. I own the 30” Tiller, Ridger 2 [Power Ridger], Rotary Plow, and a 24” Flail Mower. I grow and sell super hot peppers. The [Power] Ridger works great making raised beds for well drained pepper plants. It’s a well-built, fine machine that’ll last a lifetime.

I love my BCS 853! Believe it or not, it does the little jobs better than my Kioti RX7320 can. It's all about the right tool for the job. A big machine and a small machine both have their place, and together, they compliment each other very well! Love these machines!
This picture is a great highlight to the differences. The 7ft boxblade and loader bucket are great for grading and dirt road maintenance, heavy weight jobs with forks and backhoe, but the BCS is great for delicate garden work in soft ground, or one row at a time, or shredding blackberries and shrubs with the Flail in very wet soggy ground, and building rows and tilling mid season without compaction or disturbing the next row.

At Seed Savers, we're always thinking about how our farming affects soil health and the overall environment; the BCS allows us to till only the space we need and adjust the tiller depth so we aren't destroying the entire soil structure. They're lightweight and nimble and help us grow high quality seed here at Heritage Farm!
